Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born July 10, 1980. (1) She is an American actor, performer and philanthropist. After singing in church choirs as a young girl, Simpson signed with Columbia Records in 1997, when she was seventeen. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) was a huge success, selling two million copies in the United States and saw the commercial success of her single "I I Want To Love You Forever". Simpson altered her appearance to make her look more mature for her second studio album Irresistible (2001). The album's title track was her second chart-topping hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) have certified it gold. This Skin (2003) Simpson's third studio album, was sold to three million copies across the United States. In her previous professional career, Simpson became known for her relationship with and later wedding to Nick Lachey and Nick Lachey, with whom she was also a part of the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica between 2003 between 2003 and 2005. Simpson made her movie debut on The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). The soundtrack of the film also included a cover version of "These boots are made for walking". In 2006, she debuted her fifth studio album A Public Affair and appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. With the release of her sixth studio album, Do You Know (2008), Simpson moved into the country music genre. Simpson created The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005. It was a fashion-focused line with 34 categories of products. It is the most successful licensed brand for celebrities in the world that has more than $1 billion of sales to date. In 2010, she played in the reality series The Price of Beauty. She also judged fashion-related designs during Fashion Star's two seasons, which ran from 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson, with whom she has three children.
